We require Fixed Plant Fitters – (Crushers – Apron Feeders - Screens) to be based in our Yatala QLD workshop.

We are a rapidly growing company who can offer great working conditions and opportunities for growth. To be considered for this position you should have: -
  • Extensive Crusher and Crusher component experience essential.
  • Possess a high regard for workshop & field service safety.
  • Willing to service clients in regional areas, who have above normal working hours.
  • Able to do overtime as required.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Able to work in a team environment and unsupervised as required.
  • Ability to use measuring equipment.
  • Current Forklift ticket - (or willing to obtain)
  • Current Basic dogging/rigging - (or willing to obtain)
  • Confined space - (or willing to obtain)
  • Working at heights - (or willing to obtain)

H-E Parts International Crushing Solutions Pty Ltd is a major supplier of crushing and mining equipment, spare parts and wear products, remanufactured components and consumables to the global mining, quarrying and heavy construction industries throughout Australia, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.  A subsidiary of the H-E Parts International Group and a member of the Hitachi Construction Machinery Co. Ltd.  We have branches in WA, Queensland, NSW, and Victoria. 

We are looking for an experienced Boilermaker to join our Field Services team.  This will require working at various customer regional sites around and on occasion in our workshop at Yatala QLD depending on workload.  Applicants must be prepared to travel to site at short notice and be available to work overtime as and when required.

The successful applicant must have a strong focus on safety as well as the following qualifications:

Essential:
  • Trade qualified Boilermaker.
  • Ability to work shift work, overtime & weekends as required by workload.
  • Strong work ethic, able to work supervised and unsupervised.
  • A proven commitment to Safety.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Forklift - High Risk Licence.
Highly regarded (but not essential):
  • MR Licence
  • Dogging, Rigging, Crane (Overhead) and EWP High Risk Licences.
  • Experience with Take 5’s and JSA.
  • Experience with positional rotating welding equipment.

Description of Role:
  • Flexible role depending on existing skill set
  • Work in an open plan office with other technical team members

  • Work predominantly from the Geebung office with site trips (sometimes more than one night) required infrequently.
Skills & Experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Current driver’s license
  • Field experience working in either a quarry, mine or civil/construction project

We have a rare career opportunity for an experienced Senior Environmental Scientist/Consultant professional to join our small and talented team based in Orange, Central West NSW. The person we are looking for will be skilled in providing environmental and technical expertise and written reporting for large and small-scale mining, quarrying and to a lesser extent construction and State Government projects and will play a key role in assisting, reviewing and mentoring other members of the team.
 
The Senior Environmental Scientist/Consultant will be a professional with a minimum of eight (8) to ten (10) years’ experience working with the mining, quarrying and/or related resource sectors. Professionals with significantly more than eight years relevant experience are also encouraged to apply. 
Demonstratedexperience could include a consultancy background, on-site environmental management role or any other professional role with specific experience in environmental development, assessment and/or planning relating to mining and/or quarrying.
 
Your responsibilities will include the following.
  • Project management and high-level authorship and review of medium to large environmental impact statements (EIS) and other documents; technical reports writing and peer review.
  • Project delivery and organisational/management of a range of projects simultaneously within scheduled timeframes and budgets.
  • High-level interpretation of environmental data from a variety of disciplines and providing accurate environmental, regulatory and policy interpretation and advice including the aptitude for problem-solving and developing client-focused solutions.
  • Capacity to identify and evaluate key issues, formulate practical recommendations and commitments to complex project-related issues.
  • Capacity to develop and maintain Client, Government agency, specialist consultant and community relationships based on trust, integrity and respect.
Ideally, your qualification and experience will include:
  • Tertiary degree/qualification in a relevant discipline such as environmental, geology, soil or related sciences.
  • Proven comprehensive environmental management, planning and approval experience within the mining, quarrying or related industry (including working within budgets and scope).
  • Demonstrated extensive experience/understanding of NSW legislation frameworks and policies governing land use planning, environmental impact assessment and knowledge of reforms relating to State Significant Projects, vegetation clearing, water licencing and Biodiversity Offset, etc.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Current drivers’ licence and ability to safely operate a 4-wheel drive vehicle.

02 Aug 2018 Vacant Position: Production Supervisor

Hanson is seeking an experienced individual to assist in the leadership and control of the Axedale Sand & Gravel Quarry production operations in Axedale VIC.

ASG produces approximately 600,000 Thousand tonnes of Sand per year between 2 x Wash Plants with further improvements to happen in 2019 to achieve 1 Million Tonnes per year. 
The Applicant must be self-motivated, approachable and have an eye for detail.
The Applicant must be able to work well with in a team environment.

Applicants should have an understanding of production exposure in a quarry environment and the skills to supervise staff and maintain the effective performance of the site.

Whilst duties and responsibilities are varied, the scope of the position will include but not be restricted to:
  • Daily supervision of staff and contractor activities
  • Proactive organisation of production schedules
  • Ensuring maximum efficiency and providing leadership for operational improvement in the production operations.
  • Quality control of product and optimisation of blended materials.
  • Involvement in key planning and budgeting activities.
  • Participation in the Axedale Sand & Gravel Quarry leadership group.
  • Total commitment to risk management and Zero Harm (ICARE).
  • Associated administration duties for the above areas.
