Introduction  This PDP has been designed to provide participants with the knowledge and tools to plan, prepare and implement a risk management system at their quarry, and then develop processes to support the risk management system on a continuing basis.

Topics Covered The content of this course provides an advanced knowledge component for legal compliance requirements and safety and health legal requirements in quarries including:
  • Plan and prepare to develop the framework for the risk management system. 
  • Develop the processes to support the risk management system. 
  • Plan and implement the risk management system. 
  • Monitor, review and update the risk management processes.

Provide the knowledge and tools for Quarry Management personnel to:

  • Plan for the development, implementation, monitoring and review of a risk management system. 
  • Develop, implement, monitor and review a risk management system appropriate to their respective operations. 
  • Prepare for on-site assessment of competency as part of the Quarry Management Certification System (QMCS).
