IQA Quarry Operator of the Year Award Sponsored by Retracom

Retracom's sponsorship of this award is in recognition and memory of Mr Sydneham Hill and his contribution to the extractive industry.

To recognise an individual Quarry Operator with demonstrable achievements within the quarrying industry. The winner have evidence of personal commitment and leadership in OH&S and demonstration of broad industry knowledge of areas such as safety, risk, environment and operations

Applicants will be judged against the following criteria:

• Evidence of personal commitment and leadership in OH & S
• Demonstration of broad industry knowledge of areas such as safety, risk, environment and operations
• Demonstration of personal attributes such as (but not limited to) leadership, drive, independence, initiative, teamwork, communication, collaboration
• Evidence of participation in, and contribution to, the extractive industry 
• Demonstrated excellence in their work against defined objectives and outcomes
• Letters of recommendation from suppliers, managers, colleagues 
• Demonstration of ongoing professional development and personal growth for themselves and their team

The award winner will be publicised via the IQA website, Quarry Magazine and other media.
