Overview - MacIntyre Wind Farm Project
With a total investment of AU$1.96 billion, the 1,026MW MacIntyre Wind Farm Precinct will be ACCIONA’s biggest renewable energy facility and one of the largest onshore wind farms in the world. Developed in partnership with CleanCo, the Queensland Government’s newest renewable energy generator, the wind farm is expected to be operational in 2024.

The project involves the design and construction of over 2.5 million cubic meters of bulk earthworks and civil works to create over 220 Km's of roadways and access tracks to more than 180 turbine locations. The project scope also includes construction of 180 concrete foundations, and electrical reticulation for the site, including the construction of 3 substations and other operational facilities. The scale of the MacIntyre project makes it one of the largest wind farms in Australia.

As part of the construction of the wind farm and OHTL, a variety of ancillary infrastructure is proposed, throughout the construction and operation phases; this includes a Quarry/ Borrow Pit area.
