This webinar provides an overview of the requirements of NSW quarries defining when quarrying operations fall within the meaning of ‘mining’ under the Mining Act.

Specifically, it will cover:

  • When are materials often found at quarries considered ‘minerals’ under the Mining Act?
  • Ancillary mining activities and when they require an authorisation under the Mining Act
  • What are the consequences of mining without an authorisation granted under the Mining Act
  • Overview of operational considerations such as Native Title and Land Access
