We are excited to deliver the FNQ Cairns Sub-Branch Annual Golf Day.

Come along and join the QLD Branch's most sociable event on the yearly calendar.

Put together a team of 4 or nominate individually to compete in the IQA’s FNQ (Cairns) Sub Branch Golf Day competition!

This will be a fun filled day of spirited competition among your colleagues and peers as well as a great opportunity to socialise and network.

Golf teams will consist of 4 players in a 4 Ball Ambrose with a shotgun start.   Pairs and individual players will be placed in a team  on the day.

The player cost includes green fees, golf cart (one cart shared between 2 players), lunch, three complimentary drink vouchers (excluding UDL), nibbles following the game.

We welcome and encourage Young Member Network (YMN) and Women In Quarrying (WIQ) teams.

Put one together yourself or come along individually and the IQA will place you in a team.  What a great way to meet new people!

Golf teams will consist of 4 players in a 4 Ball Ambrose with a shotgun start.

11:00am - Event commences
                   Player registration & lunch
11:45am - Player Brief
12noon - Tee Off | Shotgun start
5:00pm - Presentations & Post game refreshments
7:00pm - Event Concludes

Costs (incl. gst):
Team of 4 Players: $450.00
Individual Players: $115.00
Additional post game tickets: $60.00/person
(please note player cost includes lunch & post game nibbles)

Golf Club Hire: Hire of golf clubs is at players expense and is to be booked directly through the Golf Club ~ 07 4037 6700.

If you are booking a team of 4, please register the Team Captain only (player names are not required at registration).

For those that find the rigours of competition too onerous, come along to cheer on your colleagues and peers, and enjoy a day of socialising, refreshments and lunch.

COVID-19 Event Attendance

The IQA is managing all its events inline with Government COVID guidelines.  To attend this event, we will require you to adhere to the following measures: 

  • Do not attend if you are displaying signs/symptoms of COVID-19 (these typically include fever, cough, and shortness of breath)
  • Check in via the IQA QR Code
  • Check in via the Check In Qld App
  • Maintain a minimum of 1.5m distance where possible
  • Wear a mask in confined areas, eg. coach
  • Maintain good hygiene practices

The IQA will continue to monitor the situation and official updates on government guidelines with respect to Covid-19 and as a result, please bear in mind that this event may be affected by this and could be rescheduled in the unfortunate circumstance that we are unable to hold the event on the scheduled date.

IQA’s Cancellation Policy: IQA event and workshop cancellations are non-refundable; however, participant substitution is available. Please notify us at [email protected] if participant substitution is required for this event. Where circumstances force the IQA to cancel an event or workshop, the liability of the IQA shall be limited to a refund of any fees paid for that particular event or workshop”. 

If you have booked an event as a delegate or a sponsor that is being postponed due to COVID-19, your sponsorship / registration will automatically be transferred to the future event. The IQA will be taking the prescribed steps and following the respective State and Territory guidelines in relation to COVID-19 restrictions, to ensure that the planned event is conducted is an appropriate manner. Attendees will be required to adhere to the COVID-19 practices as recommended by each State and Territory during the IQA event and no attendees should consider participating in an event if they are suffering from any signs or symptoms of COVID-19.


IQA’s Privacy Policy: The IQA is concerned with the protection of your privacy. We support the Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), as amended. The IQA collects and stores your personal information for the purposes of providing membership services, education programs, and improving and promoting products, including publication of photographs and other images taken at IQA events and workshops. The IQA may distribute a delegate list in any correspondence relating to an event or workshop.
