An excellent opportunity is available to join Groundwork Plus, a long established resource, environmental and land use consultancy specialising in the quarry, environmental and mining sector.

As an Environmental Consultant you will join a team of motivated and experienced professionals that will assist you in achieving your career goals and allow you to make significant contributions towards client outcomes.

In this role you will be responsible for managing and undertaking Environmental Impact Assessments, environmental management plans, environmental monitoring, environment analysis, environmental legislative approvals and client and government liaison. You will actively participate in looking for further opportunities to expand the capabilities of our team within key markets and manage the expectations and ensure delivery of high quality outcomes for our clients.

Suitable candidates will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or related field;
  • Minimum 5 years experience;
  • Project management experience;
  • Quarry or mining knowledge and experience;
  • Strong planning and analytical skills;
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills;
  • Skill base including development of Environmental Impact Assessments and obtaining Legislative Approvals;
  • An understanding of the following legislation is preferred:
    o Mining Act 1971
    o Mining Regulations 2011
    o Environment Protection Act 1993
    o Development Act 1993
    o Native Vegetation Act 1991
    o Natural Resources Management Act 2004

Applicants with previous consulting or government experience are encouraged to apply.

Field work may be required as part of the role so applicants should be available to travel.
