Victoria regulatory update: proposed
quarry fee changes under review
The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate
Action is reviewing feedback received during public consultation on proposed
fee changes for the minerals and quarrying sectors in Victoria. A final decision and new fee
structure will be announced soon.
While these changes primarily impact those
undertaking applications for quarry variations, we encourage all Victorian
members to stay informed. The IQA will share updates as more information
becomes available from Resources Victoria.
Women in Quarrying Survey: Have Your Say
As part of the upcoming Women in Quarrying End of
Year Event Maximise the Value of Diverse Perspectives in Orange on 19 November,
Will Townsend from our NSW Central West NSW Sub-Branch committee is presenting
on women's participation in the quarrying sector and needs your input.
We're calling on all women working in quarrying to
complete a short survey to help gather valuable data about women's
experiences and participation in our industry. Your responses will directly
support Will's presentation and contribute to important conversations about
diversity and inclusion in the sector.
The survey closes soon, so please take the time to
share your perspective and encourage other women in your networks to
participate.
