Electrical Awareness Online Course
 

The course is suitable for all personnel and will cover:

  • The basic concepts and rules of electrical safety
  • How electrical protection systems work Identification of electrical hazards and understand how to manage risk
  • What to do in an emergency

 

Who should do the course?

This course is suitable for all personnel in quarries, to raise awareness of electrical safety. The course can act as a refresher for experienced staff or be used as an introduction for newer staff.

For SSEs in Queensland:
This course meets the requirements for Site Senor Executives on sites with 5 or less employees, who must complete a course in Electrical Awareness (as well as Introduction to Safety Management Systems, Incident Investigation and Effective Risk Management).

IQA QMCS: Risk Management
NSW MOC: 1. Mining and WHS Systems (Subject B: Principal Hazards)
QLD PCS: Health & Safety (HS)

A completion certificate will be issued once finished.

Delivery:
Delivery is fully online. This means learning can take place at any time during normal work hours or after work. As it is self-paced, the learner can take their time to ensure they fully understand the material. The course can be paused and re-commenced at any time and provides greater flexibility for the employer and the learner as learning can be scheduled around production.

Duration:
The course will take approximately 2 hours to complete.
