SA Branch AGM Dinner
Date:      Friday 28 August 2026

Time:      6:30pm - 10:30pm
Venue:    Adelaide Pavilion | cnr. South Terrace & Peacock Road, Adelaide

Join the SA Branch for its Annual General Meeting and Networking Dinner.

The evening will feature a presentation from Ivan Winter, National Manager - Assets at AdBri Cement on "From Accolade to Yampu: Sustaining South Australia's Limestone Supply Chain".

For 44 years, the MV Accolade II was central to South Australia’s cement and construction supply chain, completing over 11,000 crossings and transporting more than 75 million tonnes of limestone between Klein Point and Birkenhead. Purpose-built in Australia and ahead of its time as the world’s first CNG-powered bulk carrier, it delivered consistent, round-the-clock supply for decades before retiring in July 2026.

This keynote covers the transition from Accolade II to its successor, Yampu — a next-generation, battery-electric diesel hybrid vessel designed to increase capacity, reduce voyages, and support Adbri’s move toward net zero by 2050. It also outlines the practical drivers behind the replacement, including asset age, demand growth, and infrastructure investment.

From early planning through to delivery and commissioning, the session provides a clear, real-world example of long-term asset management, operational continuity, and modernisation in the quarrying and materials sector.
