What is Quarrying?
Quarrying is the extraction of natural resources such as rock, sand and gravel to help create almost every structure in the built environment.
In Australia, the most common materials extracted are construction aggregates such as crushed rock, sand and gravel—essential raw materials that form the foundation of our homes, schools, hospitals, roads and more.
