Finn Poxon | Boral Construction Materials
Finn Poxon began his career with Boral at the Charlton site in 2020, joining as a casual Operator while completing a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering alongside a Bachelor of Business (Logistics and Supply Chain Management). Over a three-year period, Finn gained broad operational experience across multiple roles, including Primary Control Room Operator, Bin Truck Operator, Water Cart Operator, and undertaking extensive maintenance activities. After completing his studies, Finn progressed into a Site Coordinator role at Boral Wollert in November 2024. In this position, he has been responsible for supervising Fixed Plant and Production operations, with additional experience overseeing Pit and Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) activities.

Anita Macartney | Mactown Consulting
Anita Macartney is a Chartered OHS Professional, Certified Practising Risk Manager, and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Health and Safety, with over 15 years’ experience in mining, major hazards and regulatory leadership. She previously led WorkSafe Victoria’s Earth Resources team and held senior risk and governance roles in private industry. As Founder of Mactown Consulting, Anita has partnered with mining and quarrying organisations across Australia to enhance safety performance, strengthen critical controls, and uplift safety leadership capability. |

Royden Webb | EB Mawson & Sons
Royden Webb is a highly respected leader in Australia’s quarrying and extractive sector, with more than five decades of experience spanning quarry operations, business leadership and corporate governance. Beginning his career as a quarry cadet in 1969, Royden has held roles from Quarry Manager and General Manager to Area Manager and Company Director with organisations including Albion Reid, Readymix, Mawsons, Wagners, Rinker, Cemex and Holcim. A Fellow of the Institute of Quarrying (IOQ) and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), he has been instrumental in developing people, improving safety, driving operational excellence and leading major site expansions throughout his career. Following his retirement from the Mawsons/AdBri Joint Venture Board in 2025, Royden continues to support the sector as a maintenance consultant and passionate advocate for the vital role the quarrying sector and its people play in building Australia’s communities.

Catherine Owen | Heidelberg Materials Australia
Catherine "Cat" Owen is a Multiskilled Operator
at Heidelberg Materials' Axedale Quarry who joined the company in 2023 through
its two-year Women in Training program, making a successful transition into the
quarrying sector after more than a decade in hospitality, retail, and retail
management. During the program, she gained experience across sand and hard rock
quarry operations while completing her Certificate III in Surface Extraction
Operations and obtaining multiple heavy machinery qualifications. Cat has
developed strong expertise in load and haul activities, fixed plant operations,
and safe quarry practices, and is recognised for her adaptability, dedication,
and enthusiasm for continuous learning. Her career journey highlights the value
of embracing new opportunities and the impact of training, mentorship, and a
willingness to step outside your comfort zone.
