Exposure to respirable crystalline silica (RCS) dust can cause a range of health issues, including breathing problems. Therefore, it is important to be aware of the hazards and risks to effectively manage them. Safe Work Australia published a new Workplace Exposure Standards for crystalline silica to 0.05 mg/m3.
