Manager Design, Construction & Transport | City of Port Adelaide Enfield on the Material Recovery Facility, Gillman
In May 2023, the City of Port Adelaide Enfield embarked on the creation of a material recovery facility in partnership with the City of Charles Sturt and local contractor Haros. Since this time, they have recycled nearly 20000 tonnes of footpath and road material that would usually go to land waste or a local recycled facility if the waste was clean enough.
This new facility has saved time for the efficient drop off and pick up of material and truly embraced the circular economy concept with the material produced through crushing meeting PM1/20 specifications meaning that 100% of the pavement material has been used back in our roads and footpaths without any virgin material required.
Members, non-members, colleagues, partners, associates and guests are welcome to attend.
