Alec Northover Award Sponsored by the Australian Institute of Quarrying Education Foundation

To recognise the best prepared portfolio of evidence submitted to a Registered Training Organisation in support of the applicant gaining a qualification for either: Certificate III, Certificate IV, Diploma or Advanced Diploma in surface extractive operations as recognised by Resources and Infrastructure Industry Training Package.

Applicants will be judged against the following criteria:

• Evidence that the individual has obtained a level of competence through the stated qualification (clearly list all competencies and the impact the training has made)
• Provide details and evidence of the individual’s application of knowledge and skills gained in the area of study
• Provide evidence of how the individual has applied the competencies in their job role / workplace
• Evidence of how knowledge and on-going learning is being sustained by the individual
• Letters of recommendation/testimonies from suppliers, managers, colleagues on how the competencies are being applied in the workplace
• Evidence clearly supporting the competence of the individual 
  
   

Prize: The Alec Northover Award is a $2500 grant provided by the AIQEF annually.  AIQEF may provide an allowance of up to $2,000 for each of the top 1-3 candidates in each qualification (certificate to Diploma) to attend either the IQA or CIMIC Conference. The sponsored candidate(s) are required to attend all days of the conference. * T&C Apply (see below)

The award winner will be publicised via the IQA website, Quarry Magazine and other media.
