Position Title: Quarry Manager
Location: Coominya, Queensland
The role
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and hard-working person to join our inclusive Hy-Tec team in the position of Quarry Manager.
This full time permanent role will see you based at our Coominya Quarry, contributing to the sand and aggregate manufacturing process from day one within an organisational culture focussed on continuous improvement.
Reporting to the District Manager Nth/West SEQ, the Quarry Manager is responsible for ensuring that operational plans, objectives and site requirements are met to ensure that plant and equipment are operated at optimum cost, highest availability, safely and without environmental impact. Furthermore, compliance with all business policies, procedures and requirements are a key responsibility of this role.

Responsibilities
- Ensure safe and effective daily operations of the Quarry
- Ensure operational standards and procedures are met and continually improved
- Work to reduce operational costs while ensuring products are safely manufactured to the required quality standards
- Monitor and maintain quality and maintenance systems
- Ensure compliance with, and communication of all health, safety and environment requirements
- Supervise and monitor employee performance
What you will need to succeed
- Proven experience in sand washing and processing and high level quarry mine planning
- Certificate 4, and or diploma or qualifications necessary under the QLD SSE essential requirements
- Great interpersonal skills
- The ability to work safely and maintain high quality standards
- Excellent time management and problem solving skills
- Proven experience in a supervisory, management or leadership role
- Relationship building, and the ability to demonstrate a high level of customer service
- Exposure to quarrying is preferable, but not essential
- Intermediate computer skills
