The IQA Victorian Branch is proud to announce the Women In Quarrying Lunch – We look forward to having you reunite and celebrate our industry achievements, support one another, network and inspire women across the quarrying, extractive and associated industries. Men and Women across the industry are all invited to attend.
This event is an IQA Women In Quarrying initiative, which aims to promote networking among members of the quarrying and associated industries and encourages and creates opportunities for personal and professional development.

The Victorian Branch together with the Women In Quarrying working group look forward to having you reunite and celebrate our industry achievements, support one another, network and inspire women across the quarrying, extractive and associated industries.
This lunch event is an opportunity for both men and women to acknowledge and celebrate the contribution of women in our industry. The afternoon will be an opportunity to learn and hear from inspirational women. Book your ticket, organise a table with work colleagues or industry peers, enjoy meeting others from a variety of backgrounds and functions within the industry – everyone is welcome!
This lunch event includes a three course meal, drinks and features presentations from two successful and engaging women in our industry.
Feature Presentations
Rikki Toms (pictured) is the Innovation, Sustainability and Quality Manager at Laing O’Rourke, a multi national private construction company. Rikki has 25 years’ experience in the construction materials space, previously working in both functional roles as well as in operational roles across LafargeHolcim, Boral and Fulton Hogan. Rikki is currently working on the level crossing removal project, which is part of Victoria's big build program, removing 75 dangerous and congested level crossing across Melbourne by 2025. Most recently, Rikki has been awarded the John Holland Crystal Vision Award for Advancing the Interests of Women in the Construction Industry. This prestigious award recognises individuals, businesses or organisations that are advancing and furthering the interests of women in the construction industry. We are also proud to announce Emma Pane (pictured) who will join us and share her story and experiences within the industry. Emma is a Mechanical Engineer and works for Boral Construction Materials, currently the Quarry Manager at Lysterfield, Victoria. Since joining Boral in 2014, Emma has held a variety of roles at Boral including Project Engineer within the Quarry Business and working at Boral Asphalt. To learn more about Emma click here and here

The Box Hill RSL is a modern contemporary venue, located in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. The Box Hill RSL is newly renovated and is located a short distance from the Box Hill Public Hospital, Epworth Private Hospital and Box Hill Institute known fondly by many industry students and graduates. Located on Nelson Road, which is easily accessed off Whitehorse Rd (Maroondah Hwy), a 10mins walk from Box Hill Central Shopping Centre and Public Transport Interchange (Train & Bus Station).
