The much anticipated event of the year is back! The IQA Victorian Sub Branch invites you to the high country in regional Victoria. This is one event not to be missed!

Join the Victorian Sub Branch and warm up winter at the Milawa Hotel. Milawa is set in the gourmet region of Victoria, surrounded with local wineries and cheese factories.  Take the opportunity to connect and network with colleagues and industry associates over dinner and drinks.

Guest Presenter: Tegan Smith | Changing Perceptions
Tegan's award winning presentation was delivered at the IQA National Conference in Newcastle in March and focuses on our industry’s narrative. We understand our industry, the way we operate and the materials we supply….our essential contribution to society. But how do those outside our industry perceive us? If we were to listen to their narrative of us, would it reflect our understanding? Would it resonate? If not, why not…. and what do we do about it.

With this paper, Tegan won the Caernarfon Award, after being adjudged to have contributed the most to the advancement of some aspect of the industry.  Tegan is the first women to do so after being nominated by the IQA.

Tegan is a director at Groundwork Plus with 20 years' experience in the quarrying, land use and development sectors.  She is also the founder of the IQA's Women in Quarrying network.
